| Description: |
Hollow pottery figure having a cream slip wash with areas of pink, depicting a seated adolescent figure with both hands held to his chest, legs bent at the knees, soles of feet facing one another. Very expressive facial features, having a open mouth with tongue, lidded eyes, and incised hairdo with a wide center part. Some remaining black pigment highlights on his hair. Scattered areas of root marks. Left wrist and hand restored, both legs reattached at his waist, with restoration over the break lines. A rare example. |
