Fine speckled blue-green jade pectoral pendant having a center recessed carved trough, upper portion carved with a depiction of a serpent type creature having a raised spiked spine, small round drilled eye and open mouth, fish type tail. Biconical drilled suspension hole in the top ridge. Excellent ancient surface patina with scattered deposits. Repaired from two large original pieces with break line slightly visible, otherwise intact, overall exc. cond. Carved from a very beautiful, high quality stone. A top example. |
