| Description: |
Festival mask finely carved in a small and delicate format, representing a male visage. The face is defined by narrow slit eye openings and a raised coiffure, the central section with a deeply incised crosshatch motif. Full, well-modeled lips, articulating lower jaw inset with slender wooden teeth. The surface retains white pigment with bold black detailing applied in contrasting, thick layers. Evident surface wear consistent with use; areas of pigment loss and minor loss of several stick teeth. |
