| Description: |
Produced by Sucesores de William Spratling. A pair of sterling silver earrings inlaid with ebony wood, carved as stylized fish in a curved, near-circular form. The contrasting materials emphasize the smooth silver heads and dark wooden bodies, accented with small silver inlays. Each earring is fitted with a stud back and retains its original backing. The versos are stamped with the Spratling mark and the assay code "TS-24," indicating production by Sucesores de William Spratling under Mexico's modern silver marking system introduced in 1979, with "TS" denoting the Taxco silversmithing district and "24" identifying the workshop. Silver quality: 95%; total combined weight: 10 grams.
Dark patina and toning, and minor scratches from use, but otherwise great condition. Clearly stamped on the verso. Wearable!
