| Description: |
A circular disc of nephrite worked to an even section and pierced at the center, its outer edge finished with a raised concentric border band framing the decorated field. Both faces are carved in low relief with guwen — the grain pattern — a dense, regular field of raised comma-spirals, each curl terminating in a trailing hook and set in concentric rows that follow the circumference of the disc. Along with a small bossed tubular bead, bi-conically drilled for suspension, also Warring States.
No chips, cracks, or restoration apparent. Surface with extensive alteration and calcification consistent with long burial, heaviest across one face, with associated russet staining and mineral deposits. Relief crisp and fully legible throughout. Very good to excellent.
