| Description: |
A large compilation of carnelian, paste glass, various stone, coral, silver and bone beads. Most were found in North Niger or the South Sahara except for a few silver and brass beads which are of Southeast Asian origin. Many of the paste glass examples date from the late Roman period. Mixed dates on the remainder. A few have chips, most are intact. Would probably make eight or ten single strand necklaces, over 250 beads. |
