Description: |
A large hollow pottery blackware seated male figure having a few small areas of red ground. Depicted leaning slightly forward with his hands resting on his hips. A small shamans horn in the center of his forehead. Incised geometric pattern headband, perforated ear lobes and well defined facial features. Squared shoulders with defined collarbones and rib cage. Long tubular spout in between his shoulders. Areas of root marks on the surface. A tiny pinhole in the left shoulder otherwise intact, exc. cond. |
