Description: |
A large hollow pottery standing female figure, holding her hands on her hips and wearing a banded headdress decorated with painted white circular elements. Red-brown painted ground with painted black and white details. Wearing round, perforated ear spools, applied beaded necklace, arm bands and a loincloth tied with a large bow in the back. Areas of scattered mineral deposits on the surface. Both feet are restored, body repaired from approximately six original pieces with restoration over the breaklines. Large figures of this type are quite rare. |
