Description: A large, carved wood standing figure of an ancestor having graceful body standing upon an integral, small domed base. He is depicted nude with arms at sides, carved armlets on his biceps and a medallion necklace around his neck. He supports a bird perched on each shoulder and a third stands on the base, head facing upwards and his beak becomes the ancestor’s penis. Deeply carved and well detailed face with prominent nose and domed forehead. Remnants of red and pastel blue-green pigments. Several cracks and minor loss to the crown. On custom wood base.
