Description: |
Redware pottery vessel depicting a stylized dog standing on four short legs, having a tall cylindrical spout in the center of his back. Painted red simple linear and banded decoration on the body. Strong areas of mineral deposits and root marks on the surface. Upper portion of the spout with repaired breaks and rim restoration, otherwise vessel is intact. A rare type. |
