Description: |
Large redware pottery seated, howling dog. A very sculptural example, open spout incorporated in his mouth, head held in an upward howling position. Two tone red and red-brown surface, with scattered areas of mineral deposits. Repaired from approximately twenty-five original pieces, tip of tail, right ear and tip of left ear are restored, some visible breaklines. |
