Large pottery seated female figure having a raised right arm and left hand holding a bowl of fruit on her shoulder. Wearing a knee length skirt and beaded headband. Ocher ground with painted black geometric decoration, and black painted skirt. Fine expressive facial features, open toothy mouth. Strong scattered mineral deposits on the surface. Minor rim chip on bowl otherwise intact. A beautiful example. |
