Large two-tone redware pottery seated shaman, holding his left thumb to his mouth. Right arm raised, hand in a fist. Raised head crest with incised linear segmented decoration and pierced ears. Wearing a turtle shell pendant with incised decoration and an incised decorated, wide waist band. Some remaining black striped decoration on his face and head. Some scattered mineral deposits and root marks on the surface. Repaired from approximately twelve original pieces with restoration over the break lines. |
