Description: |
Large mottled chocolateware pottery bulbous vessel, having a tall collar neck. Decorated on the front with a large incised feathered serpent profile head and two large incised rectangular registers with opposing “E” type symbols, probably depicting claws. Overall remaining cinnabar highlights. Areas of strong mineral deposits and root marks on the surface. Shallow rim chip, otherwise intact. A beautiful example. |
