Description: Four different examples, including an Olmec green jadeite figural pendant depicting a standing human figure having an elongated pointed head, arms indicated at his sides and legs terminating in a point. Well carved classic facial features. Drilled perforation in head for suspension. Intact. A beautiful example. Together with an Olmec blue-green jade bar pendant. Intact. A deep olive-green jadeite tubular bead with a drilled an string cut center section. Intact. Finally, a Costa Rican blue-green jadeite owl pendant, having a horned head and deeply drilled eyes. Drilled perforation for suspension. Intact. A nice example.
Provenance: Private FL. physicians collection, acquired 2003, from Diane McBride, daughter of Major Elmer McBride, acquired the collection in 1947, with copy of letter from daughter.
