| Description: |
Three different examples, including a Michoacan semiabstract vessel having two opposing bird heads, squat bulbous body and tapered spout. Red-brown painted ground with elaborate white painted scroliate and geometric decoration. Two tiny suspension holes drilled in the lower neck. Intact, exc. cond. Together with a pre-classic Nayarit standing figure having a whistle incorporated in the head and body. Red-brown slip ground with white and orange painted decoration. Lower right leg reattached. Finally, a Zacatacas standing figure holding a ball to his nose with both hands. Wearing a pointed headdress and large ear ornaments. Orange ground with black and white painted geometric decoration. Whistle incorporated in head and body. Intact. All are unusual examples. |
