Description: |
Lidded pottery box, having two inner compartments with a center dividing wall and a slab type lid. Wall and lid are perforated to hold the lid in place. Incised double scroliate decoration on the four exterior panels with some remaining red-pink pigment highlights. Overall scattered mineral deposits on the surface. A shallow rim flake on the box and the lid has been cleanly repaired from two original pieces, otherwise intact. |
