Description: Carved speckled deep green and white serpentine stone large profile duck head form spoon type pendant, having a centrally drilled eye within a large incised circular element, and having incised outer borders. Two drilled suspension holes along the bottom edge. A very minor buff corner edge chip, otherwise intact, overall exc. cond. A rare and beautiful example.
Provenance: NYC collection, ex. Curtis Katz collection, NYC., 1968-1969. NYC., to Veracruzana Corp., NYC., 1970s, to Edward H. Merrin Gallery, NYC. 1970s.
