Description: |
Very large hollow pottery standing female figure, arms outstretched, incised ribcage, bulbous hips, expressive facial features, openwork mouth and arched brows. Wearing a black painted helmet with a low relief center band joining a headband. Scattered surface deposits. Repaired from approximately eight original pieces with old restoration over the break lines, missing most toes. Rare to find in such a large size. |
