Description: |
Pottery face mask depicting an elderly deity having very expressive facial features, heavily wrinkled face, sunken openwork eyes and mouth, high cheek bones and small ears. Some remaining areas of red pigment highlight on the surface. Three attachment holes along the edges. An ancient chip at the center top edge, otherwise intact, overall exc. cond. Custom bronze base. An excellent example. |
