Carved 3/4 in the round, soapstone head of a Bodhisattva depicted with a Greek inspired hairdo, having three tiers with bands. Naturalistic carved facial features, lidded eyes, looking downwards and a long mustache. Wearing an elaborate ear ornament. General high point losses, missing right earring. Mounted on a bronze covered base. |
