Carved hardwood tall standing figure of Bodhisattva, wearing a fancy high hairdo with front crest, a slender figure, holding both hands on her stomach. Wearing a shoulder cape and long layered drapery garment. Integral oval base decorated with relief carved lotus petals. Open compartment hole carved vertically through her body and out of her back. Overall excellent ancient surface patina with dry weathering and tiny dormant worm holes. General dormant insect loss inside the base. |
