Size: Pendant: 2-1/4”H. x 3”L. Beads: 1-1/4”L.

Description: Beautifully carved large blue-green jadeite duck pendant depicted with his head turned backwards with his long bill resting over his back. Nicely detailed feathered wings held closely to his body. Biconical drilled suspension hole through his neck. Top of his head has a drilled receptacle. Overall deposits in the recessed carved details. Intact, exc. cond. Together with nine carved dark blue-green jadeite duck head pendant beads, each has a small biconical drilled suspension hole in the back of their head, and a drilled receptacle in the top of their heads. Small round drilled eyes, and long wide bill with an upturned tip. Scattered surface deposits and some remaining cinnabar deposits. All are intact, exc. cond.
Provenance: Private Southwest collection. Ex. Federico Bermudez collection, acquired over 50 years ago.
