Fine medium blue-green jade piercer with two large angular tapered suspension loops, each loop having a drilled suspension hole at the top, for connection to a necklace. All carved from a single piece of jade. Very fine incised diagonal line decoration on one edge of both of the suspension loops. Piercer has a repaired clean break, otherwise intact, exc. cond. Truly a masterpiece of ancient carved Olmec jade. |
